The Beach Car Park
This park-up has been on my radar for a while now and another location which is pretty close to us, so as it was Claire's birthday weekend we decided we would pay it a visit. We wasn't sure if we could still overnight there but we would give it a go anyway.
We had a 9 mile hike planned around the area on the Sunday morning taking in some of the countryside and the amazing Wales Coastal Path.
When we arrived early Saturday evening, there was a few cars & vans there already but by late evening all had gone apart from one motorhome.
We had a very quiet night with just the sound of the sea in the background.
There is a cafe onsite which is open from 8am until 5pm, it is quiet expensive but if you fancy a cooked breakfast in the mornings right on the sea front then I suppose it's worth it. Ours isn't full as we dont eat meat but you will get the bacon & sausages. Also there is local council run toilets on site which are open in daylight hours.
The Hike
After our breakfast we got boots on and headed out for the planned 10 mile hike taking in some of local landmarks, farmland & the beautiful coastal path
All in all, a perfect and peaceful weekend. We will definately be doing a return visit in the summer to chill out on the beach and watch the sunset with an open fire.
We have nothing planned now until June when we return to the 2nd Vanlife Festival which we cannot wait for as last years was amazing.
